Meffff vs Ricky: That's Gonna Need Some Ice

Meffff challenges Ricky the Rhino, a former boxer with anger issues and a fragile ego. One punch later, the self-proclaimed king of the jungle discovers that confidence doesn't make you punch-proof.

Meffff the Lion gets knocked out by Ricky the Rhino in a four-panel boxing cartoon.

Meffff has never been short on confidence. Ricky has never been short on anger.

Unfortunately, neither has ever been particularly good at thinking things through.

Meet Ricky the Rhino, former boxer, professional hothead, and a walking anger-management referral. Behind the enormous muscles and permanent scowl lies a deeply insecure rhino who secretly believes his horn isn't big enough.

Meffff, meanwhile, has decided he's a natural-born fighter.

"I AM GONNA MAUL YOU!"

Ricky disagrees.

One punch, several flying teeth, and a spectacular loss of dignity later, Meffff is flat on his back, reconsidering his career in professional boxing.

"That's gonna need some ice."

For once, he might actually mean frozen water.

Behind the Disaster

Anger and aggression often hide something considerably less intimidating: insecurity, shame, fear, or feelings of inadequacy.

For Ricky, every disagreement feels like a threat to his pride. His response is to fight first and reflect never.

Meffff has a different problem. Substance misuse, poor impulse control, and wildly inflated confidence can make terrible decisions seem perfectly reasonable.

Put them in a boxing ring together, and nobody wins.

Except Ricky.

The lesson? Being the loudest, toughest, or most confident person in the room doesn't mean you've got everything under control.

Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is walk away.

Unfortunately, Meffff hasn't learned that one yet.

Welcome to The Meffff Life. Same bad decisions. New bruises.
