Someone Is Watching Us
Benny warns Meffff that somebody is watching them. Widow Fro points out a very inconvenient fact.
Benny the Bat dangles above Meffff, eyes wide beneath his tin-foil hat.
“Someone’s watching us.”
“Who?” asks Meffff, immediately scanning the room.
The tension grows until Widow Fro, sitting beside them in plain sight, finally interrupts.
“I’m literally sitting here.”
Benny remains unconvinced. Reality is notoriously bad at winning arguments with Benny.
Behind the Disaster
Suspicion can become self-reinforcing when every coincidence is treated as proof of a hidden threat.
Stress, poor sleep and substance use may intensify paranoid thinking. Responding calmly, checking the facts and seeking professional support when paranoia persists are better options than feeding the story.
