OriginDerek is an old, permanently disgruntled dung beetle who somehow became the cleanest creature in The Soggy Stool. A compulsive neat freak surrounded by people biologically incapable of tidying up, he now handles the aftermath of Hubert's experiments and treats every stain, spill and unidentified residue as a personal insult. Nobody knows why he stays. Derek claims it is because nobody else cleans properly.
